What am I actually buying?

The exclusive right to inscribe up to 108 characters onto one specific minute of the future, in UTC time. When that minute arrives, your words hold this page, live, for its entire sixty seconds - then rest permanently in the Ledger. One minute, one owner, forever.

Is this a token or an NFT?

No. There is no coin and no smart contract to buy. Your minute is written into a public hash-chain: each engraving cryptographically seals the one before it, so no entry can ever be altered without breaking every seal after it. The chain is periodically anchored into the Bitcoin blockchain, so its existence at a point in time is provable independently of this website.

How do I pay?

In Bitcoin. When you claim a minute you are shown the exact address and the exact amount. The first payment confirmed on the Bitcoin network to that address wins the minute.

When are my words shown?

Never before the minute arrives. Words engraved on a future minute stay sealed - not displayed here or anywhere - until their moment comes. Then they appear live for sixty seconds, and afterward permanently in the Ledger.

Can I change or delete my words later?

No. Once engraved, they are permanent. Choose them the way you would choose your last.

Can I buy a minute that already passed?

No. The past cannot be bought. Only a minute still to come can bear your words.

Can I earn from sharing?

Yes. Any Bitcoin address is your referral link - no signup, no purchase required. Every minute sold through your link pays you 25% in Bitcoin, and you earn up to 10% more on the sales of the network you bring in, four levels deep. It rewards real sales only, and every payout is published with its Bitcoin transaction id on the Affiliate Ledger.

What if this website disappears?

Every visitor can download the whole monument: a single self-contained file that carries the entire chain inside it and verifies itself in your browser, offline. Anyone can re-publish it. The Ledger does not depend on this domain.

What THE MINUTE is

THE MINUTE lets you inscribe a short message onto a chosen minute of future UTC time. Your inscription is recorded in a public, append-only hash-chain and, when the minute arrives, is displayed on this page and kept permanently in the Ledger.

Payment and ownership

Minutes are paid in Bitcoin. Your claim states the exact address and amount. The first payment confirmed on the Bitcoin network to that address wins the minute. Each minute exists once and is sold once.

Your words

You are responsible for what you submit. By engraving a message and a name, you grant permission to store and display them publicly and permanently as part of the Ledger. Once engraved, they cannot be altered or removed.

Referral rewards

Any Bitcoin address may be used as a referral link; no purchase or fee is required to participate. A confirmed sale pays 25% to the referrer, plus up to 10% more across the referrer's upline network, four levels deep - at most 35% of the sale in total. Rewards accrue only on minutes actually engraved (real sales, never recruitment). Payouts are made in Bitcoin, each published with its transaction id on the public Affiliate Ledger.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. An inscription is a symbolic act; it grants no legal right over time itself or over any minute in the physical world.

Availability

The monument is built to outlive this website: a self-contained, self-verifying copy can be downloaded and re-published by anyone. Continuous availability of this particular website is not guaranteed.

THE MINUTE is built to need almost nothing about you.

What we ask for

To claim a minute we need only the minute you choose, your optional message, and an optional name. No email, no account, and no real identity are required.

What is public by design

The message and name you engrave are public and permanent - that is the nature of the monument. Do not engrave anything you wish to keep private.

Payments

Payments are made on the Bitcoin network, whose transactions are inherently public. We record the payment that wins each minute.

Your browser

If you arrive through a referral link, we store that referral code in your own browser (local storage) so the referrer can be credited. We set no cookies and use no third-party trackers or advertising.

Our server

Like any website, the server transiently processes technical data such as your IP address to serve pages and to limit abuse. It is not used to profile you.

Referral rewards

If you provide a Bitcoin address to receive referral rewards, we store it in order to pay you, and payouts are listed by Bitcoin address on the public Affiliate Ledger.
